Any Must See's in Conneticut, Maine?

Hi,
My Wife and I are flying in to Providence, RI to pick up a bike in Conneticut and then we are going to Bar Harbor , Maine.

Any ridding suggestions...we have never been in your neck of the woods.
Thanks

Here's some info on touring in New England and in Maine that might help.

Plus in the UBM's website has a Touring Maine section.

+1 on Mystic. The Maritime Museum is a great walk through.

Before you get there, be sure you can pronounce it right: it's "Bah Habah".

From the top of Cadillac Mt. we saw the high speed catamaran coming in from Nova Scotia. As we watched it slowed, then settled down into the water from the hydrofoils to the main hull. Most cool.

Thumbs up Re: Any Must See's in Conneticut, Maine?

When are you coming and where in CT will you be? If the stars align, maybe I can give you a little guided tour.

+2 on Mystic Seaport. Great day-trip.

The U.S. Coast Guard Academy is nearby, also (New London, CT). If you don't have time for a guided tour a self-directed drive around the Academy is interesting.

In Maine, see Ben & Jerry's! L.L. Bean (Portland, ME I think) is open 24/7.

Newport RI is just a short ride south from Providence. Cape Cod MA (mid week) could be next. Rt 100 in VT if you go West after Bar Harbor.

How long will you be in New England?

Re: Any Must See's in Conneticut, Maine?

Thanks for all the responses...very helpfull.

We were going to be there a week, but..we are only going to be there a few days now...I forgot that I have to take my son to the PGA tournament in Minnesota the 15, 16th to see Tiger Woods.

I think all we will have time for is BarrrHabar and a scenery trip home. I know we could spend a month out there.
