Want to become MSF Rider Coach

How do I go about becoming an MSF Riders Coach? I have reviewed the data on the MSF website, and just got more confused. I will be located in the Bronx.

In Texas, you contact the Motorcycle Safety Department..

In Cali, dunno.

Here's what the MSF site sez:

Re: Want to become MSF Rider Coach

Ray, I would suggest after moving go to a class and talk with a local instructor. When I took the class they were recruiting the top student to be an instructor.

Re: Want to become MSF Rider Coach

Hal: Thanks. I am taking the ERC in May, so I will take your advice. I see that the riders coach classes are given in NJ not too far from NYC, but they are in March, and I am not leaving for NYC until the end of March.

Re: Want to become MSF Rider Coach

Ray, NY State runs the MSF program through the MANYS organization. I suggest that you contact, in my opinion, the leading instructors in NYC, Trama's Riding School. Jamie Cruz is one of the people to speak to. He won't steer you wrong. I think he is still a member of this group. If not, he runs the Yahoo group KLT forum, as well as the NassauWings website.

Tell him I said 'Hello'.
