I was directed to this site by a friend that rides an LT (*cough* Dan S. *cough*). Iíll give you his name so you can beat him up if you donít like me. I ride an R1150RT.
I live in Bridgewater New Jersey with my wife. Iíve been riding motorcycles since I was 12 and Iíll be 50 this year. My riding style has been termed aggressive although I can fit in well on a group ride. My wife and I travel a lot. She has spent 13 hours on the back of the bike without a peep and prefers secondary roads as I do. We once made a trip to Niagara Falls and at least 40 miles through PA was on dirt. We ride in rain, cold, even snow if we have to.
Iím big into route creation using Garmin mapsource software along with their topographical package and Google Earth. I have a blast coming up with interesting ways to get from point A to B. Iíve published a few of them on ďSunday Morning RidesĒ
My RT is completely electrified with heated gear outlets, Zumo 550, XM, Autocom, Kenwood GMRS bike to bike, Radar detector, and cell phone, PIAA 910ís up top, 1100ís down low, and an HID low beam (we like night riding).
I do all my own maintenance and have a lift at the house and a tire changer in my shop.
The first thing I noticed was the amount of you that ride two up. This is what Iím interested in since my wife and I are always together. Iím hoping to meet other couples to share some interesting riding adventures with.
Here is a image file of our next ride this weekend which is a 1,000 mile 2 Ĺ day trip to and through West Virginia:
Our photo page is full of slide shows from a good deal of our longer adventures and can be viewed from my sig line
