Rode to Boston on this past Saturday (9th)
I was hoping to see some LT's on my way to Boston and back, but I am not sure I did. Where are all of those CT/NH guys?
I got caught in a bad rainstorm at some points along the Mass Turnpike and a little before at CT closer to the end of 84E.
I was riding in the right lane with the alarms on - could not see any tail lights from the cars in front - but managed to come out safely. There were a lot of riders heading up there this weekend - probably Laconia - but the majority of the people were hauling the bikes on trailers.
Now, why would someone NOT ride the motorcycle? Where is the excitement in riding it at 5mph at a crowded event? I do not understand that, but again, it's just my opinion. With my luck, I will be pulling it on a trailer myself if/when I get married. I sympathize !!!!!
Anyway, I was waving the whole way up, but I did not receive not even a single wave. Needless to say I was pissed at our fellow HD riders ( no offense to the excellent riders of a terrific bike ) but maybe it was the rain/mist that made it unsafe for people to wave.
I came back from the trip yesterday but again everyone was in a rush to get North. Nobody paid any attention to poor old me coming down South.
So I have decided for the short run to wave just to BMW bikes until I get over the trauma I was subjected to this past weekend. I guess I will be fine come this weekend.
That's all folks!
