Scenic ride in conn.

Hello, My group the LIBMWRC is going to Marcus dairy this Sunday the 22nd. I have been there and done that. If any of you nice folks from Conn. can suggest a scenic ride around 50 or so miles from the Dairy I would appreciate it .

Have you run 39 North from Danbury, pick up 7 in Gaylordsville, and up to kent for ice cream. If you want to go further North on 7 and make a loop by LimeRock race track on 112. Stop at the covered bridge in West Cornwell at 7 & 128. Lakeville and Sharon are neat towns. West of Kent on 341 are many back roads into NY. Enjoy, Barnett

If you take US Route 7 north of Danbury it will follow the Housatonic River up to Cannan. Might be interesting as it is just below flood stage now. There is a covered bridge over the Housatonic in Cornwall and some trendy restaurants there in season. Then you can either come back same way or make your way down to Torrington using CT 63. That will take you to US 202 which will bring you back to US 7 in New Milford. Actually US 202 and US 7 Come off I 84 at north bound Exit 7...

All country roads after New Milford US 202/7 split.. couple of State Parks and Kent Falls State Park might be interesting with all the water...
