I'd love to go to both but I will still be in training for my MSF cert. Class Started with 28 people, we are down to 18. Most of the faliures came after the skills test. I passed mine. Just barely though. They said I did not shift to first gear in the quickstop. I hammered on the shift lever it just did not go into 1st so they took five points for that alone. I bitched a little after I found out but the instructor was so what, you are here aren't you. They also said I went outside the both twice and whacked me 5 points there. I know I went outside once but they gave us no practice what so ever. It was ok we are doing skills test right now. No one had time to do any practicing. BTW, you fail with 11 points. I got 4 worng on the knowledge test so that was easy. So now onto student teaching traching, which I have been practicing with my wife at home.

I most say that the cousre is brutal. 9 twelve hour days, most of the time is spent on the range. learning how to teach on the range. We spent al but 2 hours on nthe range on Sunday. Pouring rain, snow and sleet. Wind did not pick up until late in the day. My gear is still wet. But I am loving it. It is a lot of fun.

Good luck Jim... maybe you should take them on a ride through Devil's Hopyard to show them your riding skills...

Way to go, Jim. But couldn't you convince the instructors that the group needs highway experience in leading a group ride? And then lead them down 84-west to Danbury? And then do a local streets loop, with a stop-off at, oh, say, Cliff"s?
