Myrtle Beach Bike Week Ride

Alrighty! It's getting warm enough to start to think riding season, and there's a good chance to blow the cobwebs out....
There will be a group of guys riding from CT (Hartford area) to Myrtle Beach for bike week activities on 5/10 - 5/13. Looks like there will be 4 or so guys right now, myself included.
Consider this an open invite to anyone who would like to join in, we'll be riding down together on 5/10 (we might leave the night before to break up the ride a little) and coming back on Sunday 5/13. We'll be meeting up with another 10 or so guys from other areas. I would say this is not a family trip, more of a guys weekend.
If anyone is interested send me a PM and let me know. I will be traveling from 4/15 to 4/28 so if I don't get back to you right away, no worries.

I'm not getting back from Belgium until the 12th, otherwise, I'd be going with you. Have a great, and safe, time!

No worries about schedules guys, I understand.... Of course it's going to be a guy only weekend... and it's going to be warm.... and it's going to be at the beach..... But hey, I understand.....
Seriously though, sorry you guys can't make it, but if anything changes you know you're always invited!
As for the route, that's open to discussion. There's been talk of leaving on Weds. afternoon from Hartford and possibly stopping off at VA beach for the overnight, I'm sure all ideas will be entertained.
I'm leaving after tomorrow night, so if I don't get back to ya right away, mark it on your calendar!

OK! Back from the vacation and now starting to think about...... a 4 day weekend!! I just wanted to check back to see who might be interested in coming along. I've reserved an ocean front suite at Breakers North for 3 guys, if anyone would like to join in there are still rooms available at Breakers, and there's always room on the floor for anyone who wants to throw down a sleeping pad or whatever. Covered motorcycle only parking is supposed to be provided across the street in a parking garage too, so, bonus.
The route is being discussed, right now it looks like the consensous is to leave on Weds. afternoon and ride for a while to overnight, then finish out the ride down on Thurs.
Sun. will be a straight shot back home to be back for work on Mon. though.

Hope to see all of you next week!

Kevin

Yeah, that just happens to be the weekend that the bulk of the group decided to go, so I'm locked in. And since I just got back from 2 weeks off, I'm getting busted on enough for taking the thurs/fri off so I'm planning to ride back on Sun with a the guys I head down with.
Have a good ride down
