A great day and an even better ride.

Thanks to Bob, Fred and Kevin for a great ride. A special thanks to my wife for putting up with me at 6AM and letting me enjoy one of my passions. I have attached the route we took today.

It was also good to see Gerard and meet Ray and Arlene. Looking forward to our next ride.

Jim, Thanks again for being the social instigator! today was fun, one of these days we'll need to do a long ride / weekend trip so we can let the bikes get warmed up all the way
Glad to see Gerard was able to get up early enough to meet us today!!

Sorry we missed the ride (looked like a good one) though it was a beautiful ride home. Arlene and I enjoyed meeting everyone, even though we were late! Let's try to plan a day ride for the fall (leaf peeping?), maybe a loop through MA or lower VT, we're open for suggestions.

What formant is your attachment in? I can't open it and would really like to look at the route.

Thanks - Ray

Did you say "long ride"?

My current plan puts me in VT and NH over the Labor Day weekend, anyone interested in a longer overnight kinda thing? I think I will be getting to NH on Saturday 2 Sep, then into VT on Sunday 3 Sep. That could slip a day, but I won't know for a while. The plan is the land in ME on Thursday 31 Aug in the evening.

I posted a general view of the route a couple weeks ago here:

http://www.bmwlt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11785

Some of it has changed, but I think the ME, VT, and NH stuff are still the same. Looks like I'll miss the Killington Classic by a few days.

I took the route off my Garmin GPS. I then cleaned it up a little and saved it as whatever the default extension is for Garmin. I will see if I can save it with a different extension. I could a screen shot and post that. Check tomorrow here.

Jim, I see why your GPS didn't like the file I sent you. You have City Select v6 and I have, (the vastly superior ), City Navigator v7.

How long have you had your GPS?

BTW: I formally retract my negative statement regarding Kevin's ability to function early in the morning. He was there on time Sunday and in fine manly form!

I went to the site put my unluck code in from the original cd and they said they would ship the dvd in 7 to 10 days. I will then need to unlock the dvd. Is that when they charge you? Maybe it is a free upgrade? Thanks for the link. You may have just saved me some money.
