Thumbs up Thanks to BMWPhreak

Just arrived home from the national rally and the tour led by BMWPhreak of the nine covered bridges, May I say thank you for leading the tour and what a pleasure it was to meet you and your wife. The rain did not diminish the enjoyment my son and I had on the tour. We rode over several of the bridges and my 17 year old son was amazed that they still existed and he could ride on them. We were looking forward to the rally and, most importantly, this ride, and you did not let us down. Thanks for everything.

I hope you all got home safely. I wis we could have gone with you all but the bike had a different idea. We still had a great time and would do it again.

I want to say a special thanks to Kevin, Nun(sp) Sue and Gerard for a nice time on Saturday night. My wife and I enjoyed hanging out and just being ourselves. Please let us know you all made it home safely.

Hopefully my bike will be back to me soon and we all can go for a nice ride.

Fred, It was good seeing you as well and hope you had good ride home.

See you all at the next Tech Session which is being planned right now.

Brian,

You are most welcome for the ride, or should I say Experienced Rider Course! I was very impressed that everyone negotiated the U-turns, off camber inclined turns, raised plank bridge runs and the rain! BMW riders are the BEST!

I lost the slave cylinder about 20 miles outside of the Rally on Friday. The clutch started to slip when I went to accelerate in 5th. Max trucked it back to their shop in NH and is currently taking care of the problem. While it is there he is going to take care of the noisy rear pads and some "chrome" strips that are coming unglued ont eh side plastics where the engine heat is vented thru.

Sorry I missed the fun but I was outta there early Sat. morning headed to Canada. I did run into Barnett for a quick minute at the BMW Demo on Fri. afternoon. I must say, it was great to see so many BMW riders all in one spot. A great bunch of people! I traveled all over NE and Canada after the rally and everywhere I went I ran into someone who was at the rally.

Bummer Jim about your bike. We go out of our way to watch out for these things and they still seem to jump up and bite us irrregardless of bike year. I hope your back on the road soon.

Hey Smitty, Sorry to have missed you on Saturday. We looked for you but we were stuck at MAxs until about 11AM. We then had to go to the airport to pickup the rental car. We did have a great time at the Rally. Not exactly what I expected but thats what happens when you show up on the last day. The next time we will go for the whole thing.

Sounds like you had a nice trip. I am trying to plan a trip from here to Prince Edward island for next year. Not much plannign now but just thinking about it. I was hoping to get a bunch of us to go. We will see.

See you soon. We are looking to do a Tech Session towards the end of August.

Thank BMWphreak!

The Covered bridges ride was great!

The u-turn and rain were just the tune up needed for my ride home

Thanks again

Thanks!

I mirror the thoughts regarding the covered bridge tour. Your guidance was greatly appreciated, BMWPhreak. Look forward to seeing everyone next year in WI!

P.S. Can you guys get some CB radios? I'm tired of talking to truckers and Gold Wingers! LOL!
