Re: Ride to Gillette

George

Didn't get to meet you at the BMWOA rally in Gillette, but your story gives me hope. We only made about 3000 miles wandering through Yellowstone, Little Bighorn, and Mt. Rushmore before the rally out of New Mexico. I'm glad to hear that the knees are working.

Ride to Gillette

The trip to Gillette went very well. total miles 4234.

I was pleased how the new knees worked.

Had both knees replaced on February 8th. I had some problems getting my leg over the bike at the start. at the end in was much easer.

If have problems with you knees and are worried about getting back on this big bike, all you need to do is have the confidence that it will work.

Don't rush, a little each day at the start. First ride after the operation was around the block ( block 2 miles). Each time after that was a little longer.

The first ride was 71/2 week, after the replacement.

Enjoy.
