Re: zumo 550

I used a clutch reservoir mount, and it seems a simple, good way to go.

Are you planning on pairing it with a phone? Are you using it with an intercom?

The holes in the handle bar clamp that comes with it will line up with 2 of the screws in the clutch/brake res cover. Just got to get longer screws from the hardware store.

Re: zumo 550

+1 on the clutch reservoir mount. I put my Zumo on my 2002 LT that way and love it. A lot of people mount them on dash boards right under the wind screen, but I wanted it to be an easier reach to use all the functions that come with the Zumo.

Also +1 on www.zumoforums.com It's an excellent source for all things Zumo. If you're going to use a bluetooth headset with your Zumo you'll definitely want to do some reading about the limitations of the Zumos built in BT. It's only mono out even if you have stereo headsets.

Re: zumo 550

Need a way to attach it to the LT. It comes with a RAM car mounting setup and a RAM handlebar clamp and a clutch/brake reservoir (but not LT) bracket.

Many folks have very nice setups for their LT. I took the simple route of getting a plate that goes over the clutch reservoir cover from Mounting innovations:

Item Name: Motorcycle Reservoir Cover with Side Ball
Item Number: RAM-B-346U
