The obvious is often overlooked so don't feel bad bringing it up. The fuse was/is OK. This morning when I fired the LT up the light worked just fine. I decided to take it to my dealer to discuss it with him and when I got there it was just like yesterday, no light. I just love intermittent problems!
My dealer asked to keep it for awhile to try to diagnose and repair the problem. A warranty issue hopefully.

|FredR||A stupid question. Did you check the fuse? Mine went out and it turned out to be a 3A fuse; that fuse also protects some of the tail light as well.|

How do you change the headlight bulb?
My super spiffy xenon headlight bit the dust today and it does not appear to be as simple to change as the book would lead me to believe (what's new huh?). Seems to me like an early failure since the bike is only a year old with a mere 6500 miles on it. I rode my Venture for 19 years and over 100,000 miles and never had a headlight fail.
The maintenance manual makes it look like a piece of cake, but it shows the older style halogen lamp and cover which do not look a lot like what's on my '06. I release the bail holding the cover per the instructions but the cover does not seem to want to come off. Working mostly by feel it's difficult to tell what I need to do. I would be very grateful if someone could enlighten me as to what needs to be done and offer some much needed instruction. Thanks!
