petevandyke Well, I spoke too soon, blood levels today were way screwy again...

but if there's anything to this Karma thing, that means the interview should go well!

Awwww...

Many thanks, everyone! Especially since, all things considered, I probably shouldn't still be here after a near-fatal MVA and the health issues this past year!

Job hunt continues, I don't wanna' jinx anything but I have my FOURTH (yeah, fourth!) interview Friday with a company, as of right now that's the only thing I have going.

Summer has been rough...companies catch up on vacation time more than hiring I suppose. Last time I really wanted to get depressed I counted the resumes/cover letters/electronic website jobsite applications/Monster.com-type "apply now" responses I've sent since joining the ranks of the downsized and I'd sent 312 as of July 26th. Believe it or not, the phrases "I'm sorry, but you're way overqualified for this position," "Based on your resume, I am sure we couldn't afford you" (even before discussion of salary) and "Um, you've already 'been there and done this,' you'd be bored in less than a month, but we'll keep your info on file for a year..." are a lot less fun to hear than I thought...

Good news is that after three months they finally stabilized my coumadin dosage, I'm working through withdrawal issues as I taper off of a long-term med I shouldn't have been on that I will be glad to get rid of, amazingly I haven't gained weight, and with the support of people close to me and friends like those on this forum I've got a damn positive outlook on things and am raring to kick ass and take names for the company lucky enough to hire me...

Well, unless I can find me a sugar mama who wants to finance a garage full of exotic cars and motorcycles and fill my pockets with spendin' money!!!

C'mon lotto!

Thanks again everyone!
