avonfloater Yeah Brian, I got home last Thursday - enjoyed the lunch in SLC. Michele and I are headed to Astoria today to ride a Canadian Naval Ship into Portland for the Rose Festival. Then it's ride time!

sanjaun2 Denny,
Thanks for the healthy lunch. Did you make it back home yet?

Ken, Thanks again for the offer. I should have a balancer waiting for me at the post office and I bought the tire changer and M/C attachments today at harbor freight. I did not get a chance to take them out of the box yet though. Was busy frying up sea scallops and making Magaritas at our usual sunday evening dock party. I better get busy because WCR is getting close and I need to swap out both front and rear skins.

meese Let me know when. I can bring my Mark Parnes balancer with the GT adapters.

I'd be honored to have you mean-looking machine on the lift if you'd like to come down.

Been doing quite a few tires lately. I helped a friend do his HD Ultra rear tire the other day and all is good. I'm making a couple more wheel adapters for the ST1300 too. Give me a call. I'll be back from Redding tonight.

avonfloater Great having lunch with you in SLC. The last glimpse I had was you wailing up the on-ramp and headed south. Good ride, Brian.

Another Adventure

Gee Brian... I'm going to have a hard time keeping up with your mileage this year. You are once again on another Bilbo Baggins adventure looking for the best eats! I'm jealous! You are going to have to hook a brother up with some of these chillies, and recipes, that I'm hoping go along well with your outstanding Margaritas?

BTW: When are you heading back north?

sanjaun2 Thanks for the reminder John, The people on the road down here have been pretty good so far. Once I leave town and head into the mountains I have had the road pretty much to myself. The weather here has been fantastic also. Except a tad windy at times. I hope the weather holds a few days more... Tell Marilyn I said Hi.

Ride Safe!

Have a great trip home Brian, but don't drop your guard. There have been about five motorcycle accidents in the Oregon/Washington area just this past weekend! Most were fatal.

Looks like the Wx Gods are cooperating up here at least though. You won't need any heated gear up here good buddy!

sanjaun2 The weather for my intended route was perfect, My route thru Colorado was nothing short of incredible. 11k plus passes and fantastic scenery. Lots of twisties. I have been hanging at my brothers place in the NM mountains eating great food with lots of hatch NM green chili. Been keeping busy installing his hot tub with another deck around it. Thats 3 decks I helped him build so far. He owes me big time!!! And a special thanks to you Californians for all the Redwood! I plan on leaving for home Friday morning with more rides thru northen NM and Colorado. I hope my front tire makes it.

sanjaun2 Thanks Steve,
Nice website, I saved it in my favorites. The rest of you have let me down... I had a Harley rider tell me that the going to the sun hwy in Glacier is closed. It was closed 2 years ago when I was there so thats why I wanted to go back. I guess I need to decide what plan "B" is.

stevek1200lt Status as of yesterday says that 25 is still closed - North of Couger - You could always go North from Carson and then turn west in Cougar on fs-90 and head to Woodland traveling about 1/2 of the route.

Ernie - I had to postpone the bike trip. I got an emergency call from a client in Boston, and was on a plane Sunday. Their machine is now back online, I collected my check, and I'll be flying in to Toronto Wednesday. Then we drive to NY for a few days to visit the in-laws, then I fly back to Portland while Dayle flies back to L.A. And yes, sometimes I lose track of it all myself.

I forgot you and Dayle were going back there for the concert. Are you still planning to ride back to meet Dayle? I'm already having a hard time keeping up with your mileage clicks as it is, so quit making it worse.

We are coming home Wednesday. Perhaps we can have a brew before you leave. See you when you get back. Have fun and be safe.

Long weekend

Anything going on this weekend? An accurate weather report for the weekend is still a few days away. I am in the need for some decent riding. Perhaps a north cascades loop with glacier NP and LOLO pass thrown in?
