Re: Gas tank quick disconnects

There was a recall on the male end braking because it was plastic. I am pretty sure that many if not all dealers who did the recall fix only replaced the male end under the recall so it is not unusual to find the female being plastic and the male being metal. BeamerBoneyard has these O-rings for sale should you need to replace them. May or may not be required but the recommendation is to replace the O-rings every time they are disconnected. If they are deteriorated, it is time.

Gas tank quick disconnects

Im a bit fuzzy here and hopefully someone can easily ease that confusion for me. I noticed that my quick disconnect gas lines are oddly paired. One side is metal and the other side is plastic. The o-rings on the metal side are horribly disintegrated. Is this normal for an 05 LT to have a mismatched pair?
