meese That part number comes up as "VOICE II KIT" so I think any reference to a "Comm II" is mistaken.

Like David Said, the BC-1 and BC-2 were German made, and pretty much worthless to the point that BMW was replacing them or refunding the purchase price (plus the manufacturer went out of business). The ComSystem (by J&M) worked pretty well for many folks. The VOICE intercom didn't last long, and the VOICE II finally seems to work for some people, with the exception of CB noise.

And yes, Baehr and Autocom are the two next-best options, both in terms of functionality and cost.

DavidTaylor If they have the same part number they're the same thing, just probably referred to by different names. The VOICE II is the latest (but not greatest IMHO) intercom system for the LT. THe lineage started with the BC-1 in 99, which was practucally junk. Then came the BC-2 which was slightly more reliable but still not that good. Then can the Comm System (also referred to as the BC-3 but never officially had the designation) that was built by J & M, which is probably the best system ever put on the LT. When the 05s came out they changed to the VOICE system, which was so worthless it was superceded within 6 months by the VOICE II.

There are a few aftermarket units that do a similar job. Baehr is one option, and Autocom is another.

Voice Ii Comm Ii

What is the difference between VOICE II and Comm II (71607691303)?

Also, is the Baehr unit a replacement (do the samething) for the VOICE II? or Com II?
