Hello from Devon

Hello all

Previous 1200 GS owner just returning to BMW Ownership.

I have just purchased a 2012 RTP. This is to be my work bike as I am a national Observer with the IAM, a Masters Mentor and a Local observer assessor, so the RTP will be used for Observing. I am also a Member of the National Escort Group. We perform all the safety coverage for British cycling. You may see the team in Orange hi viz on local events and internationals such as the Tour of Britain.

I have just picked up the RTP and there is a fair bit to do to kit it out for NEG. I'm sure I will be asking more questions soon !!

My other ride is a 2018 Triumph Tiger 800 and love it.

Hi to all.

Adrian

Re: Hello from Devon

Your '11 RT is similar to my prior '07 RT. The mirror itself will pop right off, since the assembly is held inside the housing by plastic pins (3?) and rubber grommets. Once the mirror is off, you will see the screws that holds the housing in place. Can't help you with the little trim piece, but you might want to look at some micro-filch online to get some clues. For an example: https://www.ascycles.com/BMW/2010/R1...html#BikeImage

Re: Hello from Devon

On the other questions, you should start a new subject with your question, for better visibility, and I am very sure that you will get your answer.
