First BMW Bike

everyone! Purchased my first BMW motorcycle after owning four Harleys and pretty much every other brand of bike. It's a '00 K1200LT with 67,000 miles. All that I've read, there's a lot more miles left on her! It's got the old school cassette player and 6 disc CD changer. I am interested in upgrading the radio so that I can bluetooth my phone. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Looking forward to putting lots of miles on her.

Re: First BMW Bike

I have a 2000 with 207K on it. You'll love the bike, once you figure out it has some quirks and issues. But get it on the road at about 85 and you'll be happy.

This forum is perhaps where you will spend tons of time. Brilliant guys here to help, and loads of information. Use the search feature to begin planning what to do to upgrade the radio.

Enjoy!

You might have a moderator change your username to something other than your email address to keep the spam crawlers at bay.

Nice ride! If you are tall, you are ahead of the game, otherwise you have to adjust to the weight of the bike at parking lot speeds.

I removed my radio and CD changer to add space, and cut out a little weight since I also removed the rear box.

I use a "Sena 10C Pro Bluetooth Cameraģ & Communications System" with my iPhone for tunes, and a Garmin GPS so I have decent speakers and a microphone in my helmet to receive calls, and hear directions.
