Hello from Balmy Minnesota

Greetings,
Good to land here where I hope to gather significant bits of info over time. Owned my BMW for all of 6 weeks now, and no I can't ride it in Minnesota weather this time of year, unfortunately!
The past 25 years have been on a series of Gold Wings, including the last 12 years on a variety of Harley Davidson touring machines.
I'm all in with BMW moving forward. Thanks !

Re: Hello from Balmy Minnesota

After years of BMWs I bought a Road glide in 2006, just sold it last summer. Great bike but my 2018 R1200RT is a better bike, glad to see you also moved up to a Beemer.

Spring is coming,

Goose

Hi, 2018 K1600 GA. Are there many B and GA owners here .....or is this forum more specific to RT/GT/GTL's ?

Welcome from UP Michigan. Tell us more about the new-to-you LT. Beautiful bikes, in my opinion.

Cool Re: Hello from Balmy Minnesota

There are forums for KLT, K1600, and other models. (See under "Forums" in the brown menu bar at top. It helps if you have model-specific questions to post under that forum and to mention which model & year you own, but you can wander through the whole site without fear of being escorted back to the K1600's.

Welcome from Memphis! Hope you love the bike. You'll find a lot of helpful info here on the site, and in my experience the BMW crowd appears well-educated (with the exception of myself)

Re: Hello from Balmy Minnesota

Welcome aboard. Think you will find more info on the K1600 on the sister site K1600 Forum than you will here. I came from a K1600GTL. Hey it looks like we here in StL will be getting some your Minnesota weather here next week......you can keep it

Thanks folks for the responses. I have been over at the K1600 forum as well. Both great forums! My new purchase is an '18 GA, of which I was able to put 21 miles on in December. Now we're looking at a week of below zero HIGHS. Ugh.
If I could take one for the team, and keep it up here, I would ! (Then I would head south......)
