Welcome aboard. What's wrong with your bike? Search engine on this forum will direct you to discussions of anything and everything on the KLT.

Re: newbie

Welcome, as mentioned just about everything has been discussed and can be found by a few hours of reading. But, if you get stuck be sure to ask for help. Plenty of folks here love their LT's and many know a whole lot about them.

I change your tires $40, you buy them on the web.

Re: newbie

Welcome, first thing you should do is buy a Clymer Manual to help you through the particulars.

Tell us where you are so we know if someone is nearby should you need a hand.

How long has it been NOT running and sitting? That is real important for what we tell you to look at first.

Welcome to the forum from Covina, CA.

I also bought a non-running 2000 k1200lt in 2016.
After about six months of tinkering, it is rock solid and a great touring bike, as anyone who owns one would agree.
They aren't cheap, but I think they are well worth it if you do most of the maintenance yourself!

I look at it as a great investment in mojo cycling.
