Cool Introduction

Hi to Form readers,

I live in Helsinki, Finland - a Canadian import from the East Coast.

I'm switching from over from Honda 1100 ST and looking for either a gently used BMW 1200 LT (like the style) or similar in a newer Goldwing 1800. Riding is longer European trips, two-up and personal effects... Looking for suggestions as to other riders experience with model and if any years are preferred?

Best,

Jaska/Jim

Re: Introduction

Good luck on your search for an LT. Not sure it is a popular bike in Euroland.
i've ridden RT's with my wife on my of my trips overeseas.

Minun mieli piteeni on ja monet kaveri ty kkaxvat RT pyorasta parhaiten.

Dont even try to answer me back in Finnish. My Finnish girlfriend helped me write that and it took me a half an hour to re-write it and it took her another half hour to translate what I asked her to write incorrectly.

If you ask a question like that in this forum, everyone including myself is gonna tell you to buy an RT. But if you are packing a passenger, I would suspect the new Wing is best. Make sure you do your research on the newer Wings, I have read problems with the front suspension (again) and compatibility issues with the GPS. If you are a pack-rat (like me) the new Wing luggage space has been reduced.
