Cool Re: First BMW and looking for advise

Welcome to this goldmine of a forum ! Nice colors on that RT, too. So you say first BMW, but probably not first bike, so you know all the safety minded decisions while riding : watch out for road debris, roadkill, idiots in cages, etc. I'm riding an LT, but your RT will need similar basic maintenance from either a dealer mechanic or yourself. At least you can see the motor on an RT If you are any way mechanically capable, buy a service manual, tear into your bike and get to know it. The LT is not as easy to work on; maybe other RT owners can weigh in, as far as mileage intervals, oil changes, tires, etc. You might get as many opinions as owners, so go with what you like best. Just my .02 Ride safe & watch the idiots
