New to this site and a '18 R1200RT

Hello, Purchased my '18 R1200RT in Feb 2018. Mars Red with all the bells and whistles. It's quite a change from the 09 GL1800 we have before this bike. Instant 350 pound weight loss. Really love this bike. It does everything we want it to and is a much better fit that the GL was. Happy to be here and have much tech knowledge to learn.

Welcome, great bike, best touring bike around. I don't know how much of your own maintenance you want to do, but a copy of the DVD service manual is really helpful if you start to go much beyond oil changes.

I change your tires $40, you buy them on the web.

I just got an '18 meself, but this is my fourth RT. I traded a 2015 Wing for the '18.

I like both bikes for what they are. No matter what anyone says, you can't beat a GT or a GL for cross country riding

Welcome! Now, you will be able to handle long distance riding on winding roads a lot better, and will find every excuse to avoid the interstates!
