Very New but excited

I just received my first BMW K1200 in a trade. I had a project car (T-Top 75 Corvette) that I had been working on forever. It was to be my ex wife's car, but after the divorce I lost all interest in the car. The gentleman I got the bike from bought a new 2017 BMW and didn't have a need for this one. Easy trade for me.

I have a Suzuki 600 and a Honda Shadow 500 forever. I loved both and rode them all over. I started out at a young age riding dirt bikes. I have always wanted a bigger touring bike so that I could take company with me when I ride. Now I finally have that option. I am very exited and have all kinds of trips planned out already. This bike has a lot of miles on it, but it has service records that show regular servicing. I do not know much about BMW's which is why I am here, in this forum. I hope to gain a ton of knowledge by asking for everyone's expertise and advice. The bike still has all of its original manuals, and other operational books. Anyways, just wanted to say hi, and I can't wait until all this stupid snow melts and I can get to riding!

Welcome from Sugar Hill, GA Tony. Let us know the year and model it is and that mileage you speak of. I am guessing it is probably an LT. You came to the right place if you want to learn a ton about your bike. It sounds like you might be handy with a wrench and that helps a lot with cost of ownership.
