New R1200RT owner

Hi All;

Just took delivery of a 2016 R1200RT with premium package in Ebony Metallic. I'm coming from a 2012 R1200R and before that a 2007 F800ST, a pause of a few years, then 2 suzukis (GS 1150 EFE, GS 750 E and going back to 1978, a Honda CM 400.

Though I live on the west coast of Canada where one can ride pretty well all year, I'm averse to the cold rains of winter so the bike will remain in storage until late Feb early March or whenever the urge gets the best of me.

I typically put on 10-15k km per year with one or two multi-day trips and the rest just riding local.

Looking forward to learning a lot from fellow members and hoping to contribute some as well.

Welcome! So, you are somewhat familiar with a "camhead" already, and you are going to get a very pleasant surprise when you ride your new "wethead" for real!

Thanks Whiskey (or as we say on this side of the border, 'Whisky' )! I hope to ride some of the roads down your way someday.
