Re: U-Haul motorcycle trailer
Hauled my '99 LT in a U-Haul MC trailer many times over the past 15 years. Ride into the built-in wheel chock, put bike on sidestand and dis-mount; attach ratchet straps to soft-ties at each front strut and to trailer side rail slightly forward of each strut, and slowly ratchet bike to vertical - adjusting each strap for slack as it goes. Soft-ties at the subrails under each pannier and attach ratchet straps to trailer rails. Strap front wheel tight against the wheel chock, using trailer tongue tie points. Trailer gate has two upright positions for locating the rear gate - rearmost position creates about 5" distance 'tween gate and LT's trunk. Stop and check all straps after first few towed miles. HTH. BTW, there is a thread in the Technical section that provides great guideline for towing an LT - tie points, etc. Try a search using 'towing an LT' or similar tag words.
