About to join the club....

Hi All!

I just put a deposit on a 2016 R1200RT (Blue) a Max BMW in Troy, NY. I've been looking and reading for about a year now, and after a test drive this past weekend I was sold. In my opinion I got a good deal on the bike, although I really didn't need the keyless or gear-shift-pro options.

Hopefully I'll be picking up the bike on Friday in Sunny 80 degree weather for my first ride!

Welcome from Sugar Hill GA. That is a fine bike. You will have many happy miles on it.

Welcome to the club, great bike! You will love the shift assist pro after using it for a while.

Thanks guys. I got to take it for an hour long test drive, and then the salesman had me take out an r1200r so I could feel the difference between the two. I did like how smooth the r1200r was.... But one of my main goals was to get a long distance touring bike so I can more easily ride with the folks when they retire on their mototrike-ed goldwing next year. I'm coming from a Suzuki Boulevard C50T so it's quite a step up. I learned that bike was too small for me when I did a trip to Florida and back a couple years ago, West Virginia at 75 mph in the rain on a small bike was a bit rattling. Lol
