Fuel

I recently had my 1200LT serviced. Since that it some times happens that the bike feals it does not get petrol. If I stop and switch it off for a few minutes, it is sometimes ok for a few hundred kilos. Sometimes it happens after a few kilos and some times after 50 or more. Please help

Re: Fuel

When you stop with this problem open the gas cap while listening. Does it make a small whosh as air is drawn in? Sounds like while at the dealer maybe a hose got pinched. ??

I change your tires $50, you buy them on the web.

What kind of service did they do? While we're considering things, is the fuel filter due for a change and age of fuel lines inside the tank.
If you have a cracked fuel line, You'd see swirling fuel when you look inside tank while bike is running.
Venting is accomplished thru the carbon canister. Is the carbon canister still on the bike (would be under the rear case) and is it plugged?
If you're getting a whooshing sound, it's most likely a plugged canister, probably from overfilling fuel tank. If so, you can loosen fuel cap and not fill too much fuel until you can disconnect canister.
