I just bought a 2002 KLT from it's original owner. It was lovingly cared for over it's first 59K miles. My first 150 miles have me grinning ear-to-ear. What a wonderful machine.
I used to own and restore old Brit cars (Austin Healeys, MGs,
TVR). Then interests changed to motorcycles. They take up a lot less
room in the garage when you take them completely apart
I've owned a '81 Suzuki, 3 Triumphs ('68,'69,'71), '82 Honda Nighthawk, and a naked '77 Goldwing. I fixed up the '77 Wing three years back; This summer took it camping on a 2,400 mile round trip to Mt. Rushmore/Devil's tower area.
I'm sure to have mechanical questions for you as things come up. No
problems turning a wrench, the old Triumphs provide plenty of 'practice'
The 2002 KLT is the newest bike I've ever owned!
