Question 2005 k1200lt headlight h4 replacement...?

hello, last week my low beam went out...lately im riding in daytime and utilizing the hi beam...bought a replacement but was confused by the clymer service manual...doesnt really show how to replace bulb...?? can anyone give me a step by step on how to... thanks in advance...

I suspect you are attempting to replace stock bulb? AlthoughThis thread is intended to show how to install HID systems, the photos show quite clearly what is in there. Hope this helps.

Fred,
If you are still using the stock headlight, you should install an HID: it lights up the night. The low beam bulb uses an H7 mount, the high beam uses an H3 mount. There are a lot of places to order an HID online. If you decide to upgrade be sure to get a low color temperature. I recommend and have used 4300K since I installed both high and low beam in my LT in 2002. You can see a comparison here: http://www.manyadeal.com/page.html?id=24

As I remember you reach up under the nose of the faring. It's not too hard, if you get your hand up in there you can get the bulb holder out. Change the bulb & stick it back in.
