Hello all, I'm a brand new LT rider, have owned a few bikes but nothing anywhere in the ballpark with this bike.

I'm on the east side of Kansas City, wondering if anyone is located near who likes to ride or would like to get a tech day going.

i have a pilot friend with an rt that i ride with often. i couldn't convince him my lt was a better ride. lol. i'm sure we can arrange a ride together( the 3 of us) in the future.

i had a hit and run mishap on my bike 10/28/09 and am healing up for a few weeks. my left hand hit the van's outside mirror. he popped over a hill several feet over in my lane. yikes! i raised my hand thinking the mirror was coming at my face. well, it smacked my hand instead. our vehicles missed each other. the van never stopped. when i heal in a few weeks, we'll see about a ride. i ride all winter. some folks say i'm nuts, but i sure have a smile on my face.

There are at least two other LT forum members in the KC area, one in Lee's Summit. Can't remember their names but hopefully they'll look in and reply soon.

In addition to yourself, there are 27 list members riding out of the KC, MO area. Some of them haven't been active on the forums for some time and others just read, but don't post. I didn't take a search on the KC, KS side, but there prolly aren't as many members over there. Good luck in getting together with those who enjoy the LTs attributes, as well as riding and hanging out with like minded riders. I don't know who/where your dedicated dealership is, but over at Engle Motors, there is a feller LT rider named Jon Bush (I assume he's still there, butt I'm not positive) who would be a good contact for parts and service.

Tiger, I also have recently purchased an LT (2002) and would be interested in learning about some of the maintenance and modifications on this wonderful magic carpet. I live in Shawnee, KS. Some of the modifications I have been pondering are the throttle cable thing, HID Low Beam upgrade, and installation of the Fuzeblock. Haven't had all the skin off so that is something I need to learn how to do. Maybe we can find a senior member here in town who would be willing to show us the ropes. . . . Bohn

Welcome to the forum...I live smack dab in North central Kansas but I have a son who lives in KCMO. If you ever organize a tech session let me know...my wife is always needing a reason to go see him! Of course, getting a great ride in at the same time is just gravy...
