Working in Cleveland

Starting next week I'll be spending 3 days/week in one of our Cleveland offices. If any of you Cleveland-area types want to get together mid-week let me know.

I'll be staying at a hotel on Engle Road just south of the airport and east of Baldwin-Wallace College; our office is located on Aerospace Parkway a stone's throw from the west runways.

The plan - so far - is to drive up Monday afternoon, returning home Thursday afternoon/evening. That means I would be free on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Re: Working in Cleveland

I'll probably be on the bike, until winter gets here. That's mid-August for you guys, isn't it?

The work day should be 8-5, perhaps later. We have a ton of work to get done in the next few days so there may be some (a lot?) of overtime involved.

I hear a RTE on the West Side of town!

Don't spend too much time there except there are is a restaurant (restored train cars) they we use as a meeting point prior to the International Bike show that's in Berea not far for B-W.

I'll look it up.

Re: Working in Cleveland

Sorry kids, the Station Restaurant is kaput. Down and out for the count. Donte's is still good to go, and I highly recommend the Blue Snapper Grill on Bagley across from Southwest General Hospital. The outside patio is phenomenal!

Glen had mentioned a get together which would be outstanding. I live across from the college and just West of the fairgrounds, a few min. from where you're staying. If you want to hit some riding or local cuisine, drop me a line!

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me, than a frontal lobobomy!

Re: Working in Cleveland

I had dinner at the Blue Snapper one night 2 weeks ago. We sat out on the patio; it was a beautiful evening, and good food.

We'll definitely have to get together with you Cleveland guys!

Easton is chock-full of places to eat. I'll just direct you to their web site and let you choose one! My favorite is P.F. Chang's. If you don't mind spending premium money for a premium dinner, Mitchell's Ocean Club is a sure bet. Never been there, but he has high-end restaurants all over town.

Re: Working in Cleveland

Hey Howard,

You still doing the Cleveland gig? My summer has been busy and I kinda lost track of this thread. I will also be at the BMWMOC Clambake next weekend. If you're going, look me up!

Other than that, I would love to hook up with some of you knowledgeable people for a tech session before the snow flies!

John

Yep, just got into town this evening. Paul Mitchell and I are meeting somewhere, sometime, Tuesday after work for dinner. I'm sure he wouldn't mind you joining, if you're able to.

You mentioned previously that you live across from the college - I assume Baldwin-Wallace? That is just down the street from where I stay; I drive down Bagley Rd., past BW and the county fairgrounds, to and from our offices on Aerospace Parkway every day.
