ohio's 555

Son and I are going to ride the triple nickel on Monday is there any thing I need to know besides to taking it easy.

When you get close to the end, take a left on SR676.

Be careful for gravel in corners, especially if it has been raining.

Don't use 5th gear.

As Neil mentioned, watch for gravel. 555 is a public road, with lots of residential driveways entering it. After a good rain there can be gravel where a driveway enters the road.

You can do the whole thing in 1st gear if you're so inclinded, taking advantage of power and engine braking in the upper RPMs.

Well maybe 2nd and 3rd. Running in 1rst would never give the engine a chance to cool off.

Not sure how you are planning to get to 555, but I think the best way is to pick up SR60 out by West Holmes high school. Then on south side of Zanesville make a right for 555
