David Adler

This email was received from Barry Adler, about his father David. David supported CCR from its beginnings, and will be sorely missed by all who knew him. If you are able to participate in the ride in the Chicago area, I'm sure Barry would appreciate hearing from the LT riders. Quoting Barry:

Say Goodbye to David Adler on April 24, By Barry Adler

Come say “Goodbye” to my dad and your dear friend, and send him off on his last ride!

We are planning a last ride for my dad, David Adler, for Saturday, April 24, rain or shine and a brief graveside service at the cemetery where he’s buried in Dixon.

We’ll depart that day at 9:15 a.m. sharp from the Kopper Kitchen restaurant, Rt. 83 and St. Charles Road, Elmhurst, then proceed north to Rt. 64 (North Avenue) and then west to Oregon, Ill.

We’ll regroup at 11 a.m. in Oregon on the northwest corner of Rt. 2 and Rt. 64 then at 11:30 a.m. head South on Rt.2 , one of dads favorites, to Dixon.

In Dixon, we turn north on Rt. 52 and head two miles to the Chapel Hill Cemetery, 1121 N. Galena Ave.

Around 12:15 p.m. or 12:30 p.m. there will be a short service with a few words by a clergyman, and give everyone a chance to add words of their own. Then we’ll head to lunch in town. Information on the lunch location will be available then.

I hope it’s a good day for riding and for remembering dad, and I hope as many club members as possible can join us.

Re: David Adler

This is a nice idea. I let a couple of other members know of this and we will try to attend. We'll know more as the date approaches.
