Please join me in remembering my dear wife, Michele, on the 10th anniversary of her death. Michele fought ovarian cancer for three long years before her death.

Michele and I were married in 1968 and had a wonderful life together. Due to health issues, we were never able to have children but we were very blessed and able to adopt two wonderful kids.

Michele was a nurse practitioner and had her own geriatric practice. The old folks loved her caring, gentle ways and her great sense of humor.

Michele is truly missed by all who ever knew her. As we celebrate Thanksgiving, our family is truly thankful that we had Michele, even for too short a time.

Here is Michele in 1982 with her beloved springer spaniels.

Dave,

Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Today would have been my wife, Suzy's 56th birthday.
I lost her to ovarian cancer in July of 1998.
Though I miss her, she's no longer suffering.
Damn that cancer.
Race for the cure so others won't have to suffer through that.

Hope you have a happy Thanksgiving.

Gary

Dave & Gary,

My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your families. I don't know what I would do if I lost my wife(Best Friend).

God Bless

Dave and Gary:

My heart goes out to you both.

I struggled with the possible loss of my wife to cancer for years. My beloved Lee was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma 20 years ago this past September and due to wonderful care and the grace of God, she is in remission. It could just have well gone the other way. How lucky wan I be?

Brothers Dave and Gary:

I know your pain. I know the agony you have gone through. My first wife, Lottie, died of a sudden heart attack on March 13, 1999 at home with no notice in front of me and my 2 daughters, 11 and 9 at the time. I had no idea she had a bad heart. You both are right about the devastation losing your best friend, mother of your children and your literal better half wreaks on you. In my case, since I had no idea of her bad coronary health (shows the kind of doting and attentive husband I was, eh?) there was a required autopsy and I had to listen the next day to an assistant coroner express his deep suspicions that I couldn't possibly not know of my wife's bad heart, but he couldn't prove anything, so he had to let it go. That took a lot of getting over.

Live you, I miss Lottie every day and even though I'm remarried I still wish I had her back. I will celebrate, Dave and Gary, the wonderful women you were fortunate to have been lucky to love. My heart felt best wishes are with you both.

All the best, Karl
