Paul Mitchell Sr.

Last night Linda and I said, "I love you & goodbye" for the last time to dad who enjoyed 92 exciting years exploring the world. For the past few days he was cared for by the Western Reserve Hospice after a heart attack and multiple strokes.

I truly believe that I inherited my passion of wanderlust and adventure from his stories of visiting over 30 countries across five continents. The storytelling was a natural gift from his Irish heritage. He was a successful businessman representing a multi-national corporation and a semi-professional musician who had perfect pitch. He represented the "Exceptional Generation" and was a U.S. Navy Veteran in WWII. Our family will miss him, but always remember his kindness and love of life and family.

The photo was taken a week ago with his great grandsons at the neuro ward at the Cleveland Clinic.

Re: Paul Mitchell Sr.

Sorry for your loss, Paul. Just heard this morning that an old friend of mine passed as well. Found it interesting that he was also a Navy veteran of WWII. He was 91. Hold your memories close.

Re: Paul Mitchell Sr.

Thanks to all and Howard who couldn’t get his pc to respond. Thought you were an IT guru Howie! (just networks?)

One of his legacies is that he was the consummate planner. I have a three ring binder that he gave to me over 10 years ago with all the instructions, investments, # of death certificates, etc. to make my life easier. The title page was, "Upon my Demise".

I will also do that for my soon to be sweetie-to-wife and/or children depending on the situation.

I have already started to downsize with the sale of tons of radio gear from my amateur radio interests. Still keeping the two Beemers though.
