2005 LT takes a H9 or H7?

Bulb went out and I'm looking for a replacement. Most bulb selectors point you to a H7 bulb, but when I pulled the low beam from the bike it's a H9. Wonder if something changed mid year?

I briefly looked at HID but when it comes to mechanical things I get confused easily. So just going with a replacement bulb for now. But will look at upgrading to HID before my next trip.

Re: 2005 LT takes a H9 or H7?

Ok, got this turned around - H7 55w is for the low beam and H9 65w is the high beam.

Still trying to get the low beam bulb out - and don't want to break anything. The plug housing feels like it has little tabs on it to depress, right? Can someone step me through this - do I press them in and pull it straight out, or twist???

Metal clip under the two tabs. Squeeze and pull the clip outward.
