R1200RT Clearwater Glenda LED Install

I've updated my blog with an install of Clearwater Glenda LED driving lights on my BMW R1200RT. Feel free to have a look if you have been considering the Glendas.

Thanks for posting this. Did you have to remove any tupperware? Also, can those lights be mounted under the front fairing vs on the wheel area?

Yes you need to remove the left side tupperware to run the wires back to the battery. Clearwater has offered a kit with faring mount brackets before. I would suggest contacting them to see if they still have the faring bracket. Glenn is good about returning emails.

Cheers.

Re: R1200RT Clearwater Glenda LED Install

Yes the LED lights are reasonably bright, I normally keep them turned down so that they don't blind anyone. They go to near full brightness when the high beam is on. They are also more of a flood or fog pattern, not a long distance driving or pencil beam. They light up right in front of the bike and off to the sides. The Clearwaters are useful for helping to spot animals on the side of the road at night and make the bike more visible to oncoming traffic.

One thing to be aware of is that they may cause some radio interference.

Cheers
