Lookin for tips on aiming PIAA, and HID low beam

I installed PIAAs using alum brackets bolted to the fairings and HID low beam. Lookin for tips on how to aim the PIAAs HID and aiming the low beam. I found one thread about making spacers for the low beam.

We're talking HID PIAAs AND HID low beam, right? On what model year K-LT?

Ole Toad's '99 model headlight has only the low beam on HID (which primarily nixed the use of the high beam) and I used the shop manual's procedure for aiming the headlight fixture.

When our non-HID PIAAs were installed under the mirror fixtures, there wuz an article on the PIAA website about the aiming procedure. At that time, we also added the Motolights to the lower fork tubes. The Motolights came with a hardboard collar that wuz to be used with a torpedo level for aiming the Motolights - I cheated and used that collar in helping to aim the PIAAs - mainly to insure that both fixtures were aligned in the same vertical/horizontal plane.

An added note - I always ride solo, so no need to adjust light aiming when carrying a passenger or loaded with heavy luggage, etc. YMMV in that regards, Bob. Good luck on the project! Works easy with a helper!!

Thank you for your time Dick.

Mine is much newer than yours, a 2000.

HID low beam.

I'll scan the internet for PIAA aiming directions.
