Installed 1Off Motorsports HID kit

Wow! The bike ought to have been built with these things. The kit is not complicated but a pain to put in because space is tight, as it is replacing a halogen bulb. After the bulbs were in it was easy. I had to drill the back of the round door to allow the wiring thru but it was straightforward.
First trial was a dud. Called the manufacturer and explained. They called back in 20 minutes and said they needed to send two new ballasts. Got them today and finished it easily. Not to tough to find places for the ballasts and CANBUS-fooling devices.

Took a night ride at dusk and the visibility is great. Only got flashed by an oncoming car once in about 30 miles and that was when I had the PIAAs on, too. No fault code from the bike and no radio interference.

Sorry for the late reply; it's a 2011 RT.

And then, who did you buy them from?

Re: Installed 1Off Motorsports HID kit

Hi,

I put the 1off kit in for my 2005 1150RT high beams. Wow!

Now it would be great to be able to replace the H3s in the fog lights with HID. Ever seen a kit for that?

thanks,
