Piaa lights

http://www.simpleautosports.com/prod...oducts_id=9245

Anyone ever dealt with Simple Auto Sports in Florida, They have a good price on PIAA 004XT lights and are even open to offers of $150...sound to good to be true? They sell "buy it now" on e-bay also.

any input would be appreciated

thanks

Re: Piaa lights

I don't know anything about the company, but I question the ad saying that these lights are "driving lights." I've got them and they help in announcing my presence, just like my Moto lights do, but I'd hate to only have them to see at night. My HID is the only thing that lights up the night and makes it safer to drive than the stock light on my K1200LT.

Re: Piaa lights

Just to make bike more visible, you can get much cheaper lights than $150. I run a pair of $40 cheapos on my GS and they work just fine, can be seen a long ways off and do light up the area right in front of the bike, but farther out than a few feet, not so much. Don't have them for that though, just want that triangle of light and they do that quite nicely. With the money I save on them, I bought HID from

Straight forward install, balast and ignitor in one box, mount the box, plug in the light and off I went. Have been problem free on the GS for over 2 years and no faults.

Re: Piaa lights

Just one other thing about the PIAA lights. On the LT, there is a bracket that you can buy for around $50.00 that makes the mounting very easy under the front nose and looks custom made. Power with a new PIAA wiring harness is also easy to install. A search should pull it up.
