mounting PIAA 510's to K1200LT

Hi everyone....I'm looking for a way to mount a pair of PIAA 510's to my K1200LT. I'm aware that Cyclegagets has a mounting kit, but I'm just wondering if there is anything else out there. I'm also wondering if anyone else has done this with some different ideas. Thanks ..

Re: mounting PIAA 510's to K1200LT

I have a smaller set of Piaa that mount under the front faring. Looks like the 510's would not look that well on an Lt. They look more like for a GS. My Piaa's are more than light enough at night. In fact they look like aircraft lights on a plane coming in for a landing.

I would think you would have to fabricate a mounting bracket for them. They would not fir under the fairing so you are looking at coming off the forks or wings.

Just my two cents.

Here is a picture of a V-Strom with the 510's on them.

Over Powering I think.

I just mounted a set of Hella's under the mirrors. If you can not find the mirror mount mod let me know and I will search it out for you. Bassically involves a trip to Home Depot $5.00 in parts and milling out a small piece of the mirror plastic on the underside... Depending on the mounting point of the Piaa's it should work.

That photo is from a PIAA Pic Shoot taken in the Dallas area, of my 2000 LTC, before they introduced the Powersports kit for the LT, which I supply the brackets for..

and the Powersports kit pictured is not the kit shown in the Pic of the LT...
