HID low & high same bulb??

Hi all;

I was just wondering, the HID low bulb I installed works great and really light up better then the original bulb ( 2005 LT).

Just curious, has anyone put both low & high beam using the same bulbs!!!
Since I have another kit ( bought double kit) I was thinking about installing on the high beam!! I know about the flashing, but I don't do this much.

Any reason why is could not be done??

Regards,
Bowdon

Re: HID low & high same bulb??

You can't use the same bulb for the high beam, they are two different bulbs. The low beam is an H-7 and I believe the high beam on a "05" is a H-9.

Sorry about that.

patroa1;

I know the bulbs are different numbers, but the wiring and voltage are the same. There should be no reason that I can see why I could not use the same bulbs and/or kits for both.

I would need a better explanation of why not!!! ( It the skeptic in me!!).

Re: HID low & high same bulb??

The bulb bases are not physically the same. It no fit!! I chose not to do the high beam as I do use it for signalling during the day more than I drive with it at night.
