CQ Lights - HID low beam not working...

I have a CQ brand HID low and high beam. The low stopped working a few months ago and I ordered a new bulb. I finally got around today to putting it in. Still no light.

After checking more obvious causes I started swapping out parts with the high beam set up.

Turns out the "Inverter" (black box pictured below) wasn't working. Sorry I don't know the correct names for all these things. The metal box seemed to work both high and low and since they are connected with quick disconnects I was able to trouble shoot and narrow it down to one of the "Inverters"

Going to call them tomorrow.

Anyone have this issue before? I know quite a few people here have installed the CQ lights.

Re: CQ Lights - HID low beam not working...

I called CQ lights. They now have a one piece ballast and igniter.

They found that not all of the igniters were compatible with each ballast.

$35 bucks shipped. Should have it Friday.

Had same issue last year but found it was ground wire in the nosecone area under the headlight. Hope thats not your problem, fat fingers don't fit in that area!
