Smile If you had a clean start - 09LT

With the insurance company totalling out my RT, the 'check is in the mail' to pay for the new 09 LT. I negotiated a rate for the installation of my farkles and want to take advantage of this scenario to install lighting on the bike.

And, you know, after all this searching, I still can't find the answer! So, please excuse me if this is covered someplace; but;

On a new 09 with Xenon headlights, I want to install two sets of good lighting; One for the low beam,and one for the high beam.

Can someone please recommend mounting kits, locations and lights.

I'd prefer to stay with PIAA or HELLA, and avoid Trail Tech;

Again, I need to bring these things in on the day of my purchase.

Thanks!

David

Are there problems with Trail Tech?

I'm in the market too for auxiliary lighting. I've been considering Trail Tech's HID SCMR16 lights. They are about $300 for a pair. They seem to have the same specs as the PIAA Cross Country lights, but cost a lot less than the PIAA. Anyone out there who has something good or bad to write about Trail Tech? I'll also be monitoring this thread for recommendations for other manufacturers too. On my '09 I'm waiting for my custom seat from Rich's custom saddles in Seattle and I've added the Voice II audio system. Other wants include passenger floorboards for the wife and side stand extension.

Re: If you had a clean start - 09LT

My '06 has the xenon lights, and while I thought aux front lights would be the first thing on my farkle list, I have not added any. The headlight signature and brightness is better than either of my cars....well beyond my stopping range with the brights on. I did however add the saddlebag lights from Raffy.
