Discharging HID???

Having to change my upper faring (nose cone) due to a recent encounter with a large animal. Thus, must move my light module with HID to new fairing. I installed the HID in 2001, so I don't remember the procedure for "grounding" or "discharging" the unit in order to be safe and not receive a large shock. (It may be obvious when I get into the job!)

Suggestions on discharging the HID for removal will be greatly appreciated.

There is no need When it is off, it is off. The HID capsule is not a capacitor like a CRT, no energy is stored.
