Battery Life for BMW Communication System

Getting ready to choose between BMW's system and the Schuberth comms system. Curious if anyone out there would care to share findings regarding the BMW Communication System's battery life.

Between this site and the other K1600 forum, there is a lot of information on your question. The "search" feature really does work well.

Most seem to get about 10-12 or a little more.

Re: Battery Life for BMW Communication System

Did a 1000 mile day back in the fall. Started with a full charge on the BMW system. The entire trip was around 17.5 hours and I did charge the helmet for about 20 minutes during "lunch". It finally died at about 17 hours, so I'm pretty happy with the battery life.

Re: Battery Life for BMW Communication System

And since the BMW Com system can be recharged underway, it seems to me the better choice. On another topic, which I know you have personal experience, wondering which of the engine protect roll bars you see as best version. There are several which have been reviewed here. Which do you see as the best?

Thanks Dan. Good to see others replies here. I did not see much of this forum regarding specific battery life for the BMW system. Seems like most are pleased with it. I don't hang out at the other forum you mentioned much. Will have to spend some time there too. Thanks.

The other forum is just K1600 and unfortunately there is more information there, for this bike. My browser doesn't work as well on the other site and my spell check doesn't work at all there, but you just deal with it.

I'm about 50/50 and and equal opportunity offender....time to ride...
