Right side the left side

Has anyone noticed that the right side of the GTL and the GT seem to have a a lack of

chrome .The left side has a strip of chrome that looks like a it could be an attempt to be an

engine guard. It's only there for to cover something.Doesn't make sense,It just makes the

right side look like a part was left off.

Aha! GV has discovered the source of the left pull!

If its what I think you're referring to, it's covering/protecting a hose that would otherwise be pretty exposed. Since the engine is transversely mounted, they're dealing with an asymmetrical situation.

Re: Right side the left side

I don't like chrome, so I pulled most of it off and replaced it with black. Less pull to the left too!

Re: Right side the left side

There is no chrome on the GT and I will fight to keep it that way!

BTW, that left-side cover is simply trim that hides a water hose and is unique to the left side. No way is it gonna protect anything in a spill.

I went and tested this and yes you are correct.... it does not protect anything.
