Nice ride today and this evening...

Did about 400 miles on the bike today. Planned on a short ride and just kept going...... What a bike! It just gets better and better... I don't know how I've avoided speeding tickets.....

Re: Nice ride today and this evening...

Did the same thing on Friday - I just kept saying to myself: "damn, I love this bike!"

I also kept thinking: "damn, I need to get a radar detector....soon!"

Hey Dan, you need to join us at one of the Iron Horse gatherings in NC and give that new bike a real test on some of the great mountain roads up in TN and NC. We're just home from another fantastic weekend with the group. Great weather and great riding.

I've already been-there-done-that back in July.

But now NO pumps are available. Dealer said maybe 3 to 4 weeks.

On the K1600 Forum it looks like a few dozen bikes have leaking pumps. Also mine does not leak all the time. I did start leaking on a 4000 mile trip 2 months ago but stopped after a few hundred miles. Then it started leaking last weekend but only for a short time. I took it to the dealer so they could see the leak but it has stopped leaking again. I will bring the bike home today & keep riding till the new pump comes in.

UGH. And we (TX, AZ) are heading into a month of really nice riding weather....

I think I got "lucky" as there was one in the states, so I was only out for 3 days.

Hopefully it will show up early for you.
