shifting on a k1600gtl

question if i shift from 1st gear to 2nd and i want to move quickly do i shift immed approx 10- miles an hour, or shift going faster.it seems it slows me down shifting quickly. which is the best way.

I am not sure what you mean. If you want to go fast, just redline the first gear, shift into second, redline second gear, shift into third, repeat until gear 6...

Then, pull over, stop, wait a few minutes for the vehicle with the flashing lights to catch up to examine your license!

But It'll sure enough qualify as "fast"

Hey Java, you forgot one very important bit of information in your instruction, "hold on!" That thing will take off!

Hold the throttle wide open let go of clutch in 1st gear then shift as fast as you can thru all gears without letting off of the throttle at any time, then get back to us and let us know how it went.

If you dont get the front wheel in the air then repeat the process .
